Round Tuit Lachlan #67290
Lachlan is a moderately sized, structurally correct young bull. He recently passed a breeding soundness exam and his second crop of calves are hitting the ground here at Round Tuit Farm. He is ready to go to work for you! Lachlan is calm and quiet, as well as very mindful of fences, making him an easy keeper. He will do just about anything for a handful of pellets in a bucket, including getting on the trailer. He has been respectful of our space when we are out in the pasture. His current weight is 1300-1400 lbs on grass only and he is still gaining.
Lachlan's date of birth is 5/13/2023. With his second crop of calves coming now, that means he went to work for us at just over a year old. He takes his job very seriously! His dam is Moira of Flatland Farm (a Skye High Cornerstone daughter) and his sire is the 2011 NWSS Grand Champion Highland bull, Skye High Wayward Son.
Price is $4000. We are willing to consider a trade for the right breeding age herd bull, as well. Transport papers, AHCA registration transfer and sponsored AHCA membership (for new members) at seller's expense. Transportation to be arranged at buyer's expense.
Sold: Round Tuit Bella
Bella is a third generation Round Tuit heifer. Her dam and grand-dam are two of our best cows with excellent feet, excellent udders, strong maternal instincts, and both consistently wean calves over half of their own body weight on mother's milk and grass/hay only.
Bella is an AHCA registered sovereign heifer. Her dam is Round Tuit Nell #58,846 and sire is JCLL George G105 #3572903, a solidly built registered Simmental.
Bella is built like a Simmental, naturally polled, and has all the fluffy hair of a Highland. She is super sweet, halter trained, has been tied, beginner/kid friendly. She would make a really great show project for someone, as well as an excellent brood cow in the future. She has been on hay and loose minerals only thus far. Birthweight 85lbs, 205 day adjusted weaning weight 593lbs.
